Abstract While breastfeeding is a natural human activity, difficulties and complication with it are common. Putting the baby to the breast as soon as possible after the birth in a good positioning and with good attachment helps (0 avoid many problems, including: mastitis, milk engorgement, breast abscess which may lead to failure of lactation. The present study was designed to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice regarding breast feeding skills of lactating mothers in Obstetric &Gynecological department of EI-Minia University Hospital over the period from (April to August). In this work, 100 lactating mothers who accepted to participate in this study were divided into: * Group 1: including 50 of mothers delivered by spontaneous vaginal delivery the mean age of mothers was (27.35±5.47 years). * Group 2: including 500f mothers delivered by cesarean section the mean age was (27.7±5.63 years). Verbal Consent was taken from each mother within first 24hour after delivery in labor word. -Data was collected through filing questionnaire for asseSSll1g knowledge &attitude and check list for assessing practice regarding breast feeding skills. |
