Abstract

The oil extraction machine manufactured and evaluated in small workshop and the experiments were carried out at Agrci. Eng. Inst. (AEnRI) , Giza. Cotton oil seeds harvested in season of 20091201 0 used in this study. The expeller is used for crushing and pressing oilseeds like cotton seeds and creating a valuable meal cake the oil extracted consists of machine base, feeding hopper, extraction barrel, extraction screw press, extraction head, power transmission and electric motors. The aim of the study 1-Development a small production expeller using new technique to increase the extraction efficiency. 2.Reducing the percentage of oil in meal cake suitable to produce textured cotton protein.3-Study the different operating parameters affecting the performance of developed expeller mechanical factors influencing the oil extraction process. 4-Optimize some different operating parameters to have the quality of the final product according to the international standards 5- Minimize the energy and cost requirements.6-Study the effect of developed expeller on cake and oil cotton crops. 7.Evaluate a small production expeller from the economic point of view.
