Abstract

Forensic psychiatry is the branch of medicine that with deals with disorders of the mind and their relations to legal principles. Any person to carry out any legal acts must be competent to do that and must has no any mental illness.
In case of mental illness, the individual does not function well in reality because of emotional fluctuation or distorted point of view’ interpretation.
Brain damage or dysfunction may be caused by a multitude of factors. such as infection, tramua, tumor, neurological diseases, endocrine and metabolic disorders;vitamin deficiencies and toxic disorders.
This Shldy revealed that most of the cases of interdiction had psychiatric disorders 67.1 % while 32.9% only had organic disorders.
Also most psychiatric disorders are more than organic ones m young <20years and in old age >40 years, on the contrary abnormal EEG was found in 71.4% of the middle age 20-40 years and in 15.4% of the old age groups.
A5 regard the intellectual jobs are more associated with psychological disorders than non- intellectual ones.
Lastly psychiatric disorders are more often significantly in males than females.
