Abstract The present investigation has been carried out at the Poultry Research Unit Fann (PRUF) belonging to Department of Poultry production, Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr El-Sheikh, Tanta University,EgyptThis work aimed to study immwne response to Newcastle disease in chicken. The main character was antibody titer level in blood serum. The study included three experiments as follows:First experiment mainly designed to study the genetic differences between different strains in antibody titer levels in blood serum. Three chicken strains were used: (Arbor Acers, Silver montazah and Syntheic strain ”50% Anak + 25% Lohmann+ 25% Gimmiza”).While the Second experiment was planned to investigate and study the genetic variation between families within strain for the same trait. Finally, the third experiment aimed, through three generations, to estimate the response of selection for antibodies titer level in the positive and negative direction with control line Concerning the studied traits in the present investigation, they were body weight at different ages, egg production, egg weight, feed consumption, feed conversion, mortality percentage, age at the frrst egg fertility and hatchability. Also the genetic parameters of the antibody titer. |
