Abstract ABASTRACT The use of pesticides has caused considerable negative effects for the environmental and human especially in developing countries. Therefore this study aimed to provide theoretical background information on the environmental risk assessment approach in the field of pesticides and their main steps. In addition toxicity of two pesticides (Abamectin and Chlorpyrifos) against Nile tilapia fish has been determined. The LC50 were 0.018 and 0.052 ppm for Abamectin and Chlorpyrifos respectively. Also the effect of LC10 and LC25 of both pesticides on some biochemical parameters (AchE, AST, APT, glucose, urea, and total lipid) were studied. Finally the effects of same sublethel concentration on histopathological of both liver and gills tissues were investigated.
