Abstract In this study 28 C pseudotuberculosis strains recovered from Egyptian sheep, goat and buffaloes were analyzed bacteriological and biological the bacterial strains were charachterized according to their productivity for PLD of exotoxin Seven strains with high PLD production were selected for SDS - PAGE analysis , immunoblotting and genetic analysis Genomic DNA was extracted from each strain PCR amplification of 921 a bp was succiesefully obtained with the seven isolates with no size differences RAPD - PCR was done on the seven strains of C pseudotuberculosis and this by using three different primers PFGE was done using SfiI enzyme The RAPD - PCR and PFGE analysis between C pseudotuberculosis isolates revealed relative diversity and heterogencity but the results do not devise and sufficient to categorically classifying the isolates in genetic base It is believed that C pseudotuberculosis isolates studied were genetically but not identically related |
