Abstract A number of different fish management systems have been recorded in Egypt; r in their strategies, fish yield and economic returns. Five major aquaculture rs represented by five provinces, 85 fish farms were assessed for two ssful seasons from September 2008 to September 2009. For each farm we rded the L-Stock management, including the source of the seeds, species and re system, handling and transport, acclimatization, stocking density, feed and ng management, drugs and medication, fish sampling, harvesting and eting, 2- Water management, including the water source, water supply, age system and water exchange regimen, 3-Farm construction, including the shape, pond water depth, orientation and power source, 4-Socio-economic cters, including the age and job of the owner and farm ownership. 5-Farm omics including the total cost (L.E/feddan/year), fish production feddan/year) and net profit (L.E/feddan/year), finally we spot light on ems facing aquaculture systems. Obtained result of this study have been spot on the best systems for management used in fish farms in Egypt. |
