Abstract The main objective of this study is to know factors determining farmers’ acceptance or rejection of some new varieties of wheat in Assiut governorate through 1– knowing social and economic factors that determining farmers’ acceptance or rejection of some new varieties of wheat that have been planted in the search area
2 – knowing view of farmers , searchers and their assistants and extension workers about new wheat varieties that have been planted in the search area
The study was conducted on three groups of respondents. The first was sample of 250 farmers drawn randomly from wheat farmers in three villages distributed in three districts in Assiut governorate. Second group included 50 researchers and their assistants drawn randomly from three governorates of those working in research stations and universities in these governorates. third group was sample of 100 extension workers drawn randomly from extension workers in assiut governorate . Data were collected by means of personal interview and collective questionnaire using a questionnaire prepared previously.
Frequencies, percentage were used for data description.
