المستخلص The ornamental plants considered as the most beneficial plants to human being interest and wild life. The problem of the devastating insect pests attacking these plants is one of the most important obstacles facing the increase of their production. The insects belong to suberfamily Coccoidea has a considerable attention on key pests to the ornamental plants. The studies hds been carried out to explain the population dynamics of these coccoids on certain hosts of the ornamental plants, under the condition of meddle Egypt. The experimental work was carried out in the Agricultural Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, during the two successive seasons of 200312004 and 2004/2005. The studied coccoids insects are: 1- The red scale insect, Aonidiella aurantii (Mask.). 2- The rose scale insect, Aalacaspis rosae (Bch.). 3- The wax scale insect, Ceroplastes jloridensis Comstock 4- The Austrian mealybug, lcerya purchasi (Mask.). |
