CRF is the gradual loss of the ability of the kidneys to filter waste products and fluids from the blood. CRF can range from mild dysfunction to severe kidney failure. The kidneys maintain the body’s salt and water balance which is important for regulating blood pressure. When the kidney’s are damaged by disease or inherited disorders, they no longer function properly and loss their ability to remove fluids and waste products from the blood stream. Fluids and products building up in the body can cause many complications. Most systems in the body including the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and central nervous systems are adversely affected by CRF Our study was done to evaluate ADPN and lipid profile in children with CRF either on conservative therapy or with regular hemodialysis The present study was carried out on 55 children divided into 3 groups (Controls, Conservative and Dialysis) with no significant statistical differences regarding age and gender among different groups Group I (Control group): include 20 apparently healthy children served as controls with matched age and sex Group II (Dialysis group): include 20 children with ESRF on regular hemodialysis Group III (Conservatives group): include 15 children with predialysis CRF on conservative therapy All children underwent thorough history taking, physical examination, routine laboratory investigations and other specific investigations.
