Abstract
Since Vitruvius, architecture is about form, structure and function. Architects have _ys looked for a creative form to meet new function with an innovative structure . . ::Ana1ogy has found its way to architecture by seeking creativity. Creativity has developed lthrough time to utilize now artificial intelligence to find an iconic design.
Analogical reasoning has a significant role in creativity, artificial intelligence, and most t architecture education with a creative design approach. There are similarities n the creativity process phases and AR process phases, which makes analogy part of process of creativity.

Analogical reasoning has been used in generating a creative architectural design, -: manifesting and manipulating form, structure, and function from ancient architecture of ” pharos until our modem and contemporary/visionary architecture while applying classical ’~ries as well as the evolutionary ones. AR has succeeded to exist in most of the architectural trends, movements, and schools inferring many types changing the form from geometric, abstracted forms to fluid and soft ones. Contemporary/visionary architectural styles like digital, liquid, fluid, asymptote, hyper or cyber spaces are based on analogical inference between architecture and recent technologies and sciences inferring many AR types; transformational, philosophical and others.
Structure was first bound by the nature of the material inferring ad-hoc analogy, and then it has been freed to follow biological structures inferring biological analogy. Even the ••• function has been affected by analogy to be efficient imitating a machine then by , c:omputer science and modem technologies to have no limits in space and serving systems inferring philosophical analogy. Also, Function was seeking sustainable behavior of buildings by inferring Darwinian analogy. Architects are not creators, God is the superior creator. Architect just imitates, derives, transforms through analogical reasoning what he witnesses around him from God’s creatures and nature seeking and serving his needs and aspirations, while finding solutions
