Abstract It could be concluded from the results of present study that epinephrine , gastrin, and histamine play an important role in stress ulcer induction as evidenced by the significant correlation existed between them supporting the common mediator hypothesis , which state that the secretory stimulants as gasterin donot act directly on partial cell but through mobilization of histamine which act as a paracrine mediator, exaggerating the secretory responses and place an additional burden on the protective barrier of the mucosa providing a possible mechanism of stress ulcer. |
