Abstract Strelizia reginae B. family Musaceae is an ornamental plant which is known as bird of paradise. It is a perennial herb native to costal region of cape province of south Africa and widely cultivated in gardens of warm climates. Quercus robur L. family fagaceae is an ornamental and deciduous or evergreen tree known as English oak, oak tree, pedunculate oak, truffle oak and common oak native to most of Europe and to Western Asia , minor to the caucasus and also parts of north Africa. Quercus is known in arabic as sindiyan and ballut. Part 1: Preliminary phytochemical screening of the powdered leaves of strelitzia reginae B.
