Abstract

The present study was designed to achieve the following objectives: 1) Determination of the different developmental periods, survival rates of each stage, longevity of adults, and the fecundity of females of S. littoralis on certain host plants using life table parameters. 2) Evaluation of the effectiveness of crude extracts of Cotton, Berseem, Fenugreek and Dodonaea against S. littoralis. 3) The insecticidal and biological effects of tested extracts presented as mortality rates amond larvea, pupae and adults, repellency action and hatchability percentage. 4) Investigation of the persistence of the most active extracts or essential oil with special reference to their oviposition inhibitory action.
