Abstract Achillea santolina L. is a major component of the natural weed communities associated with barley fields, olive and fig plantations that exist along the western Mediterranean coastal region of Egypt (Burg El-Arab- Sallum). It is one of the most important medicinal plants that commonly used and documented by local inhabitans to treat different kinds of disease. Few studies carried out in this area have confirmed a number of its active medicinal constituents. However, there are relatively few and incomplete studies concerned with the morphological variations, growth criteria, biomass duration, and accumulation of specific nutrients, and metabolites. |
