Eighty E.coli isolates were identified biochemically by lactose fermentation , indole, citrate methyl red ,V P and TSI tests these isolates were studied for antimicrobial susceptibility pattern by disk diffusion method.Study DNA of 5 E.coli isolates included in this study were subject to PCR with primer specific to blaTEM gene.10 E.coli isolates were examined for antimicrobial susceptibility pattern using agar disc diffusion technique they were tested against cefotaxime,oxacillin,gentamicin,enrofloxacin,amoxicillin,ampicillin/sulbacatm,amoxicillin/clavulanicacid and trimethoprim / sulfamethoxazole as shown in Table (6). Out of 10 E.coli isolates, 7 isolates were resistant to cefotaxime (70%), 10 isolates were resistant to oxacillin (100%), 10 isolates were resistant to gentamicin (100%), 5 isolates were resistant to enrofloxacin (50%), 10 isolates were resistant to amoxicillin (100%), 2 isolates were resistant to ampicillin/sulbacatam (20%), 3isolates were resistant to amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (30%), and 10 isolates were resistant to trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (100%). out of 10 E.coli isolates, 5 isolates highly resistant to these antibiotics, so we take these 5 isolates (Hu1,Hu2,Br1,Br2andCa1).
