Abstract The scope of this investigation was to study the influence of K fertilizer and the growth retardant PP333 on growth, chemical composition, flowering, seed yield and seed germinability of sweet pepper cv. ”California Wonder”. To achieve this goal, two field experiments were conducted during the summer seasons of 1997 and 1998 at the Experimental Farm, College of Agriculture, Cairo University, in Fayoum. Flowering, seed production and germinability of the developing seeds of sweet pepper could be improved by the application of K fertilization at a rate of 192 kg K2O fed-¹ and /or foliar application of PP333 at a concentration of 10-15 ppm. |
