Abstract
The present research was carried out to study the effect of water stress and potassium fertilization on growth,moisture states of leaves,chemical composition,water consumptive use, water use efficiency , yield, yield quality and the economic evaluation for potato crop (Solanum tuberosum L.) cv. ”Sponta’’.
Field experiments were carried out at Mallawy Research Station,
El-Minia province, Middle Egypt during the two successive growing Summer seasons of 2000 and 2001.The farm situated at 27° 9- latitude and 30° 5- longitude. Its altitude is about 44 m above mean sea level.
