Abstract Soybean (Glycine max)is one of the most important leguminous crops for both man and animal due to its high protein content (about 40%). It has been found that the nodulation of these plants is very low under Egyptian soil condition. This is because its specific Rhizobium strain is laking in Egyptian soils since its is newly cultivated in Egypt (about 20 years) , this investigation was carried out in the Experimental farm of the faculty of Agriculture, Minia University , to study the effect of inoculation inorganic fertilizers and plant residues on some parameters such as :numbers, weight and nitrogen content of nodules , weight and nitrogen content of plants , nitrogenase activity, crop yield ,nitrogen balance in the soil under soybean plants and the densities of Azotobacter , Azospirillum and clostridium pasteurianum in the rhizoshere of soybean plants and soil apart. |
