Abstract Aim of the work To evaluate the haemodynamic changes that might result from the (CSE) technique in operation below the umbilicus compared to those occurring during spinal and epidural anesthesia and also to compare the surgical analgesia and motor block, onset time to T6 and some complication among spinal, epidural and combined spinal-epidural (CSE) block. Conclusion This controlled study showed that combined spinal-epidural block is a useful technique for major orthopedic on lower limp and lower abdominal operation. The CSE technique rapidly produced a reliable spinal block and flexibility of epidural block with minimal haemodynamic changes and complications. |
