Abstract The use of short acting muscle relaxants to produce rapid onset intubation time accompanied by optimum intubating conditions is important. Succinylcholine is currently the durg of choice to facilitate rapid intubation of trachea during anaesthesia, but it is frequently associated with some undesirable effects. It has been recognized for many years that there is a need for non-depolarizing neuromuscular blockingagent that can replace succinylcholine in instances where succinylcholine has been contraindicated. |
