Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of TVUS, SIS and hysteroscopy in cases with abnormal perimenopausal bleeding.
We compared the findings of TVUS, SIS, and hysteroscopy with the final diagnosis established by hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy.
Conclusion:
In conclusion: sonohysterography is an easy, less expensive, safe and better tolerated diagnostic modality for patients with perimenopausal bleeding.
Sonohysterography is an excellent diagnostic tool, highly sensitive and specific as high as hysteroscopy.
Sonohysterography gives an accurate impact about the endometrial cavity and its abnormalities.
However, these conclusions need bigger studies that include larger number of patients to consolidate its validity.
