Abstract Fluoride ability to brain represents one of the most active areas of research on fluroide toxicity toadies ( Shashi, 2003 ). Selenium is generally recognized as important antioxidant with numerous biological function ( Muller et al., 1998 ). The aim of this work was to study the histological, ultrastructural immunohistochemical changes that might occur on the development of the cerebellar cortex in the albino rat after intake of sodium fluoride and to detect the possible protective effect of the anti-oxidant sodium selenite when taken simultaneously with fluoride. |
